Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis has issued an unprecedented warning
Report Jeremy Havardi
On 26th November Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis has issued an unprecedented warning about the danger confronting British Jews, and the wider community, if Jeremy Corbyn becomes Prime Minister. B’nai Brith in the UK would like to offer our wholehearted support to the Chief Rabbi.
We too have watched with alarm as the Labour leadership has inspired an outpouring of hate against the Jewish community.
The Labour leader may claim to be a ‘lifelong fighter against antisemitism’ but his real allies over the years have been those individuals and groups most hostile to the Jewish community. From his warm words towards Hamas and Hezbollah to his defence of an antisemitic mural, from his friendship with Raed Salah and Stephen Sizer to his racist comments about irony, the evidence of his own wrongdoing is clear and damning.
The Labour leader little realises how his words and actions have contributed to the insidious left wing antisemitism we are witnessing today. We too therefore hope that all people vote with their conscience on 12 December.
